Well i turned 30 in AK, and courtesy of my beautiful wife i heli-skied to celebrate. It was awesome! Em and i skied Alyeska together on the bluebird 28th, i heli-skied on the 29th, lazily watched snow fall the 30th, skied Alyeska powder on the 31th and snowcat skied on the first. We are still trying to recapture the sloppy sleep on the plane last night, but are in good spirits. AK is Colorado on steroids with an epic 800" snowpack. From the heli I skied 22,000 vert and the 
highlight was "proud papa" a 55 degree 4500 vert top to bottom creamy leg burnin sweetness that is engrained into my very core for ever! The weird thing about alaksa is that when it snows you get upset (no flydays) where as at home we get really excited for snow, it is backwards yet so very addictive. I do hope to return with some friends, it is an amazing experience! I guess 30 is looking bright...until next time.

hell yeah, that was so fun!!! i have good news regardng that deal i mentioned, so there will be more fun to come in AK...
