Across the pampas to San Martin De los Andes

Crossing the infinite pampas, i saw a great sunset and sunrise over the flat pampas, with only a few successful pics in the rapidly moving bus
.
A world away from BA (and 20hours by bus) I arrived in San MArtin de los Andes, in the snow! Quickly soaking my nikes i bought some Welly knockoffs and toured this lakeside town.
Very cool Architecture and i am a bit snap happy at all the different mountain design details.
I met a great lady on the bus who made a quick list to the good stuff, including a guy who hooked me up with some skis for today, right on.

Early this morning i headed to Cerro Chapelco, hoping for good snow i arrived to some of the hardest snow i have ever skied. The top part of the mountain was closed due to fact the snow was like breakable crust that was 18¨deep, yikes.
Needless to say i enjoyed the nice skis, my new goggles and glimpes of the surrounding area. The people in the ski line here are the rudest people i have yet to meet in SA. If i had my skis and these people were stomping all over them constantly with their skis and boards i would have flipped...instead i found my happy place and indulged in my new level of patience.

I miss Em a bundle but we both realize how important it was for her to go home for the week then return (email us for more info if you want to know). Tomorrow i am headed to Bariloche, hoping for a bit more skiing and more lakes flirting with the mountains. Em will meet up with me there next tuesday. Besos, tengo hambre.
